Marshal Mountain:

  • Drive into East Missoula, see the golf course on your right, take the axis road all the way up

  • Best terrain park in town, built by community, ski at your own risk (if you're going to build jumps, please make sure the landing is somewhat safe)

  • Easy skin up, maybe Blue Square on the way down, pretty flat cruising, on a pow day, go skiers right where it's steeper, but not too far into the valley (you 100% will get stuck, I've explored)

Snowbowl:

  • Pretty overpriced for the little snow

  • Lifts are slow

  • I only go on POW days or event days or when I skin up

  • Axis road sucks, 4x4 is a must

  • Left side of main chair (woods) pretty gnarly cliffs with good landings. Make sure to scope it out before you send, make sure snow is good

  • Right side off main chair (cliff section), everything goes (with enough snow), there's a sick rock located in the woods under the cliffs, easily 20' of air time, landing is perfect

Lolo Pass area:

  • Best snow we have for 1 hr drive

  • Bunch of good pull off spots to park and hike up

  • Good to build jumps for practicing tricks (without a far hike in)

  • Can choose the difficulty on the way down, rocks on top might be a Double Black

  • Definitely recommend
